Introduction

The Bourne Club – Bridge

Our aim is to play and promote the game of bridge in a pleasant but competitive manner in accordance with English Bridge Union rules.

For more information please click HERE

Our Duplicate sessions are held every Monday and Thursday evening at 7.20 p.m. and we have a No Fear evening on Fridays. Players are requested to arrive at least 5 minutes early so the movement can be set up.

We run Teams of Four evenings if there is a fifth Monday or Thursday in the month.

Throughout the year we run Duplicate and Teams competitions with winners of both going forward to Surrey Finals.

During the Winter months we run a friendly Teams competition that is usually played in members’ homes.

All hands are computer dealt with Bridge Mates for scoring. All results are posted on our Website immediately after play has finished.

The Bridge Club is affiliated to the English Bridge Union and the Surrey County Bridge Association and Master Points are issued accordingly. We participate in EBU and Surrey Simultaneous Pairs Competitions and hold an annual EBU licensed Open Swiss Pairs event.

We occasionally have teaching workshops hosted by a well-qualified teacher or bridge celebrity.

In addition to the above we hold some Open Charity bridge events including an annual Open Charity Bridge Luncheon.

Finally we have our own premises that includes bar, lounge and catering facilities..
