The biggest day in the Bourne Club calendar is almost here!
This Saturday, 28th June is our Club Tennis Championship Finals Day, and we cannot wait for you to join us for a truly fantastic day of high-level tennis that will have you on the edge of your seat.
👉Christie Plate - the day will open with the Annual Christie Plate competition. This is open to all players who took part in the Club Championships but didn’t quite make it to the finals — a great chance for extra fun and friendly rivalry!
👉Bring your best game - whether you are battling for the title or just enjoying the friendly competition, this is your moment so bring your ‘A’ game!
👉Come hungry - join us for a continental brunch from 10.30am to 12.30pm (free for all players). From 2pm to 5pm, you’ll also be able to purchase a range of delicious food from the Top Nosh Food Truck that will be onsite.

Registration is now live for our Junior Tennis Tournament on 19th and 20th July!
All junior tennis members are welcome, from U8 to U18, and we’d love to see as many spectators as possible showing their support.

Pickleball One Day Tournament, Sunday 11th May, 1-4pm
The format will be individual pairs. You will play with a different partner each round of play, against different opponents, according to a randomised order of play.
You will add to your own individual score each round and the player with the most points at the end of the tournament will be our winner!
The number of rounds and length of each round will be determined by the number of entrants.
Please book on via the system. Entries will close once we’ve reached capacity so please book quickly!

Our Tuesday 12 to 1pm padel session is evolving.
From 20th May, this one-hour session will be aimed at improvers. These are players who have mastered the basics and are looking to further develop their game with more advanced drills, tactics, and match play.
If you feel ready to step up from beginner to improver level, we’d love you to join our session. This is a great opportunity to build on your skills in a supportive and structured environment.
For those who are still new to the game, don’t worry, we’ll still be running our Monday beginner session from 11am to 12pm.

After a fun-filled day at our Badminton Singles Tournament on Saturday, James Vincent emerged victorious after beating Emily Hilder in a competitive final.
The tournament was a huge success with competitors playing each other in the round robin stage with everyone winning at least one game.
It was fantastic to see so many juniors taking part and we look forward to our next tournament later in the year.

Rackets at the ready for a fun-filled Friday of table tennis in the Old Hall on 11th April!
Our Doubles champions from last month may even be there to defend their title! Jamie Dunbar and James Elliott put on a sterling performance to win the trophy.
Our table tennis fun evenings are held every third Friday of the month and have become a regular feature on the social calendar here at the Bourne Club.
Minimum age 14 years. 11-13-year-olds may attend with an adult (18+).
The next one will take place this coming Friday 11th April and is set to be an evening filled with friendly competition in the company of a warm and welcoming group of people. Whether you’re an experienced player, or just looking to have fun, everyone is welcome!
